- 1. Where is the best place to buy Wisk®
Wisk® detergents are sold in supermarkets, mass merchandise stores, drug stores, and club stores all over the country. Although we would like each of our products to be available in all stores, shelf space and consumer demand sometimes limit the number of items a retailer is willing to carry.
If you are still unable to locate your product, please call our Consumer Services toll free number, 1-800-275-9475 Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern time where we can further assist you.

- 4. What happened to the laundry bottles that I am accustomed to purchasing and what is the difference between Wisk® 2x and 3x Laundry Detergent?
The entire laundry category is moving to concentration! This means greater savings of fuel, corrugate, and plastic for the environment. The “2” and “3” indicate the concentration level of the detergent. The more concentrated the detergent, the less formula that is needed each time. (Please see products page).
- 5. Are Wisk® tablets or powder still available?
Wisk powder and tablets are no longer available. However, Wisk liquid gives you the same stain-dissolving power in a convenient form, so you can get out even the toughest of stains when your done pursuing your favorite pastimes activities.
- 6. What can I do about these bright spots?
Although bright spots are permanent, you can try evening them out by soaking the garment in a solution of four parts water and one part detergent for no more than 30 minutes. Rewash immediately without detergent in the warmest water safe for the fabric. In the future, wash the garment with a detergent for delicate fabrics that has no brightening agents or have it dry cleaned.
- 7. What causes bright spots on some jeans and khakis?
When you pre-treat or pour detergent directly on some jeans khakis, the fabric may get bright spots (also called “optical brightening”). Make sure you test a hidden seam for colorfastness on jeans and khakis before you put detergent on them. Allow the test patch to dry completely and check for a color change.
- 8. Is Wisk® detergent safe to use in septic systems?
Yes, all surfactants in our products are biodegradable and safe to use with septic tanks.
- 9. Can Wisk® Laundry Detergent be used as both a pre-treater and detergent?
Yes, one tiny capful of Wisk packs enough punch to pre-treat stains and wash a whole load of clothes. When used in this way, it is better than Spray n' Wash® spray and Tide® detergent combined on tough stains like grass. Always remember to test on an inside seam before pre-treating.
